To help you comply with CIPA requirements,
Websense, Inc., and the WLS have combined efforts to offer Washington state
school districts the chance to participate in a consortium-wide purchase of
Websense filtering software. Websense Enterprise software allows you to transparently
monitor, manage, and report on traffic flowing from your internal networks to
the Internet. One, two, and three-year subscriptions for Websense Enterprise
may be purchased at the following prices with
no minimum required.

off the 10,000 tier level, and 70% off the lowest tier.

My subscription to Websense does not expire until the end
of August. What happens when I purchase a subscription now?
Your annual subscription in this purchase will be
extended one year from your expiration date.
Is the software delivered to me or downloaded off the net?
Current subscribers who have licenses will simply have
their keys extended with nothing sent. For new purchases, Websense generates
a key that is sent to you via email and you may initially go to the website
and download the software in advance of receiving the documentation and media
in the mail, so as to have immediate service.
Is the price per workstation an annual fee or one-time
fee?
It is an annual subscription.
WebSense appears to integrate with SonicWall (firewall)
and I am not happy with the low level of granularity that the SonicWall has
for filtering.
SonicWall 6.3 will have integration with Websense which
will be different from the current content filtering included with SonicWall.

WebSense appears to use a SysLog server. Do you know what
the load is on that server?
As long you're meeting the minimum hardware requirements
which are on the website (www.websense.com),
you should be fine. Address specific questions regarding the server load or
other technical features to either Linnea or Tech Support (858-458-2490).
